Searching for some way to show your support for the residents of Uvalde in the wake of their community's tragedy last week?

Here are some suggestions for ways to help, compiled by the Foundation Board of BKD's San Antonio office:

Robb School Memorial Fund: a memorial fund has been set up by Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District through Frist State Bank of Uvalde, with the funds going to the families of the victims. You can donate at any First State Bank branch, mail checks to 200E. Nopal St., Uvalde, TX 78801 (make checks payable to Robb School Memorial Fund), or donate via Zelle using the email address:

GoFundMe: GoFundMe has created a centralized hub for the Uvalde fundraisers and created a crisis team to rapidly review and verify the fundraisers being created for Uvalde. The most recent list I could find was from yesterday, so it may be out of date. You can find the centralized hub here for the most up to date listing:

United Way: United Way has set up a fund to help the victims’ families and the Uvalde community with long-term mental health resources. They have identified nonprofit partners in the Uvalde community and will coordinate with them to address any other emerging needs. You can donate to this fund here:

University Health System Foundation: the Foundation has set up a Uvalde victim’s relief fund to support the patients and families who are being cared for at the hospital. You can donate to this fund here:

City of Uvalde Police Department: the City of Uvalde is accepting donations for medical expenses. If you’d like to donate here you can send checks to City of Uvalde, P.O. Box 799, Uvalde, TX 78802 (make checks payable to City of Uvalde)

The Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country: this foundation has started a relief fund for the victim and their families as well as others affected by the shooting. You can donate to this fund here:

Nonmonetary Donations: I know not all of us are able to give financially, but there are other ways to give to and support those affected by this tragedy. Blood donations are needed. South Texas Blood & Tissue is asking for donations:
