Carol Collinsworth Scholarship Fund
Carol Jane (Breen) Collinsworth passed away on June 16, 2020. She was born in Mexico City and was proud of her dual citizenship. She attended Texas A&I University, Kingsville and completed her education at UT Brownsville where she earned her Master’s in Business Administration and then obtained her CPA license. She taught as an accounting professor until her retirement.
Carol was a long-time and active member of the RGV Chapter and served as a Director, Treasurer, Vice President, President-elect, President, and Immediate Past President. She was also active at the state level on the following committees – Accounting Education Foundation, Awards, Nominations, Relations with Educational Institutions, Chapter Coordinating Steering, and the Texas CPA Tax Institute.
To honor the work and time that Carol gave to the RGV Chapter, a scholarship in her name will be given to an accounting student at UTRGV.
