The Dr. Sidney "Sid" P. Glandon Endowed
Scholarship in Accounting

In collaboration with the university, the El Paso Chapter created the Dr. Sidney “Sid” P. Glandon Endowed Scholarship in Accounting. This scholarship helps secure the future for UTEP’s accounting students by enabling them to fulfill their academic and professional goals.

Sid greatly contributed to the accounting community as the Chairman of the Department of Accounting at UTEP and as an Associate Professor in Accounting as well as a Certified Public Accountant for over 35 years. He is also a Certified Financial Planner and a member of numerous professional organizations.

2020-2021 Scholarships

Deadline: Nov. 16 ,2020
The El Paso Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants awards two scholarships each academic year as follows:

Outstanding MAcc Scholar:  Scholarship of $1,500 awarded to an applicant who has completed his or her undergraduate degree and is enrolled in the Master of Accountancy program at the time of the scholarship award.

Outstanding Senior:  Scholarship of $1,500 awarded to an applicant who has completed his or her junior year (90 credit hours or more) and 12 upper division accounting credit hours at the time of the scholarship award.
