TXCPA Southeast Texas Announces 2026–2027 Scholarship Recipients

TXCPA Southeast Texas is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026–2027 academic accounting scholarships, recognizing two outstanding Lamar University students for their academic achievement and commitment to the accounting profession.

This year’s recipients are:

  • Michael Vu, Lamar University — $3,000
  • Angela Arceneaux, Lamar University — $1,000

To be eligible for a TXCPA Southeast Texas scholarship, applicants must have an overall GPA of at least 3.0; be a junior, senior, graduate, or certificate-level accounting student attending Lamar University for Fall 2026; plan to become a Certified Public Accountant and enter the accounting profession upon graduation; have completed Intermediate Accounting I with a “B” or higher on the first attempt; and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Recipients are selected based on academic performance and demonstrated potential to contribute to the accounting profession.

The TXCPA Southeast Texas scholarship program provides financial assistance to accounting students pursuing CPA licensure and entering the accounting profession.
