Year-End Happy Hour and Awards Celebration
On May 26, members gathered at Brewster Street Ice House to celebrate the end of another successful TXCPA Corpus Christi year and to honor two members with service awards.
Donna Lawson, CPA, has volunteered as our on-site CPE coordinator for the last several years, handling critically important things like sign-ins and certificates. If you took CPE with us at any point in the last few years, you have Donna Lawson to thank for getting your credits smoothly and efficiently. Donna has recently retired, not just from CPA practice but from being our CPE coordinator as well. We will miss her very much but certainly wish her well in retirement. Donna is the recipient of this year’s award for Outstanding Service to TXCPA Corpus Christi.
Misty Mata, CPA, received this year’s Honorary Fellow award. There is no overstating what Misty has meant to our chapter over the years, serving in just about every volunteer role possible at last once, including chapter president. Misty’s leadership has been an asset to virtually every aspect of the chapter and we couldn’t be more proud that she now serves on the TXCPA Executive Board.
