Career Awareness
Internship opportunities, shadowing, careers in accounting, getting a job.
The Fall 2023 Accounting Careers Workshop is your opportunity to meet CPAs who work in a variety of careers, and talk with recruiters about upcoming internship opportunities. The Accounting Careers Workshop will be held at the Norris Conference Center on Friday, September 22, 2023 (5:30 pm - 8:30 p.m.). Ask your professor to be a part of the Etiquette Dinner (invitation only) for an evening of honing your skills in a social setting on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Embassy Suites, 1604/IH-10 (5:30-8:00). Mark your calendars for Meet the Firms on Friday, February 9, 2023, at LaQuinta Hotel on I-H 10 (5:30 pm - 8:30 pm).

(YAP) group is made up of CPAs, candidates, and accounting students between the ages of 22 and 40 who meet to socialize, network, perform community service and have fun.

Stuff the Van for Blue Santa involves TXCPA-SA members, family, and friends collecting toys and financial donations for the San Antonio Police Department’s Blue Santa program. Details for Stuff the Van for Blue Santa 2021 will be announced later this summer.
Join TXCPA-SA members, co-workers, and
supporters each year for the Texas Society of CPAs’ Month of Service. November 2023 is Accounting Opportunities and Financial Literacy Month. Join your fellow colleagues and visit middle schools, high schools, and universities and discuss the exciting careers of the CPA profession while encouraging building wealth and a strong financial foundation for the future.
