Business & Industry Committee
Purpose - The B&I Committee brings together members not in public practice to review matters of mutual interest and identify CPE needs for industry members. The committee may also organize events aimed at this portion of TXCPA Dallas membership.

Purpose: Determine community outreach projects for TXCPA Dallas.

CPE Committee
Purpose: Define the chapter’s Continuing Professional Education curriculum and develop the programs based on topics of interest to the profession. Activities include the development of 2- and 4-hour seminars and conferences.

Legislative Affairs Committee
Purpose: Informs members of current and prospective Texas legislation affecting the accounting profession and acquaints Texas legislators with functions and services rendered to the public by CPAs.

Membership Committee
Purpose: The TXCPA Dallas Membership Committee organizes programs to encourage and expand membership and promote engagement. The committee meets multiple times a year to review membership demographics and campaign reports, promote and organize events to increase member participation, as well reaching out to new and inactive members. The Diversity + Inclusion Task Force is a subgroup of the Membership Committee and was created to address the issue of full and equal representation of the diversity that exists in our association community.

Partners in Education
Purpose: To offer member volunteers the opportunity to speak with high school and college students about choosing accounting as a profession. PIE members spend time in high school classrooms and at career fairs, serve on panels at high schools and community colleges, volunteer alongside students at charity events, and attend networking functions with university undergraduates and graduates. PIE Committee members and speakers are presented with opportunities to speak throughout the academic year dependent on requests.

Scholarship Committee
TXCPA Dallas provides financial support for students through the TXCPA Dallas Scholarship Program. Each year the committee awards scholarships to accounting students at local universities and has given more than $125,000 to students over the last 13 years.

Sponsorship Committee
Purpose - The Sponsorship Committee works throughout the year raising money for events, ensuring members receive the highest quality experience at a reasonable cost. The committee meets several times a year for sponsorship updates.

Young Professionals Group
Purpose: To encourage young CPAs to become more involved with the organization and to meet other young professionals. The group hosts networking events for TXCPA Dallas members and is involved – along with the CPA Involvement Committee – with local charity fundraisers. YPG partners with four other young professional groups in Dallas to host the annual networking event Fall Fest.
