TXCPA Dallas Members Recognized at TXCPA Annual Meeting in San Antonio
TXCPA Dallas members joined accounting professionals from across the state for TXCPA’s Annual Meeting of Members and Leadership Council Meeting, held June 25–26 in San Antonio. The two-day gathering offered opportunities for networking, collaboration, and meaningful discussions on the future of TXCPA and the accounting profession.
The chapter also celebrated multiple member honors presented during the awards luncheon on June 25.
Rebecca Herring, CPA, was named a TXCPA Rising Star, an award recognizing members under 40 who demonstrate innovative leadership within the profession and their communities.
Lisa Ong, PCC, CPA, received the TXCPA Distinguished Public Service Award, honoring outstanding civic, charitable, and community service outside of TXCPA. Her extensive service includes long-time involvement with Carter BloodCare, leadership in Blood Cancer United’s Dallas Visionary of the Year campaign, and engagement with numerous civic and educational organizations supporting future accounting professionals.
Willie Hornberger, CPA, JD, LLM, was named a TXCPA Distinguished Fellow, recognizing sustained professional excellence, leadership, and long-term service to TXCPA and the accounting profession. His decades of service include leadership roles at the chapter and state levels, contributions to tax policy and governance, and service as an adjunct professor at SMU School of Law.
Jennifer Johnson, CPA, received TXCPA Chair’s Special Recognition for her contributions to strengthening the CPA pipeline. She has played an active role in the Pipeline Committee, co-led student and candidate webinars, and served in numerous leadership positions at both the chapter and state levels.
These honors highlight the continued leadership, service, and impact of TXCPA Dallas members across the profession and the community.
