TXCPA PAC is a member-managed, member-driven, and member-focused political action committee dedicated to protecting the CPA profession in Texas. While day-to-day operations are supported by TXCPA staff, all PAC direction and decisions come from CPA members themselves.
Our membership reflects the broad diversity of TXCPA: CPAs in public practice, business and industry, corporate finance, government, education, young professionals, long-time leaders and members of all political viewpoints. The PAC is nonpartisan and registered with the Texas Ethics Commission.
A contribution to TXCPA PAC is one of the fastest, simplest and most effective ways to influence legislation that affects our profession. You don’t have to be involved in politics—you just need to care about the future of the CPA license.
How TXCPA Advocates for the CPA Profession Year-Round
Advocacy continues year round. With the successful 2025 legislative session behind us, TXCPA continues its advocacy work for our members and the profession. The 2027 legislative session is right around the corner, but first, a very important election will set the stage for the issues the House and Senate will debate, welcome about three dozen new members of the Legislature, and will set the stage for TXCPA's discussions with legislators. TXCPA PAC has been working this past year to study the election and the over 170 legislative and statewide races. The PAC has engaged in many races and will continue to engage on races right up to the start of the 2027 legislative session. This
2026 Election Guide will provide you with the tools that you need to see what elections are in your chapter area and will help you to understand the campaign contributions that the PAC has made. Advocacy never sleeps. Become involved as a
Key Person or help us advocate for the profession at Advocacy Day in January 2027. Your participation is crucial to our advocacy efforts.
