CPE Topic: CPA Pipeline
Speaker: Dr. Tracie Miller-Nobles, CPA

Join Dr. Tracie Miller-Nobles, CPA, professor of accounting from Austin, as she provides an update on the CPA Pipeline. She will share trends in accounting program enrollment, statistics about individuals pursuing the CPA credential, and insights into why accounting students, graduates, and young professionals are not pursuing the CPA credential. She'll then highlight different initiatives that are taking place on a national and state level to address the weakening supply of CPAs. Attendees will walk away with ideas as to how they can be involved in supporting accounting programs, students, and graduates.

Dr. Tracie Miller-Nobles, CPA is the lead faculty for the B.S. Accounting program at Franklin University. She has extensive teaching experience including faculty appointments at Austin Community College, Texas State University, Aims Community College, and the University of Texas-Austin. Dr. Miller-Nobles received her doctoral degree from Texas A&M University. Her research interest includes financial literacy education, culturally responsive teaching, and online learning. She has public accounting experience with Deloitte Tax LLP. She serves in numerous leadership roles for the American Accounting Association, AICPA, TXCPA, and Teachers of Accounting at Two-Year Colleges.

Dr. Miller-Nobles has received several teaching and professional awards including the AAA/J. Michael and Mary Anne Cook/ Deloitte Foundation Prize, TXCPA Outstanding Accounting Educator, and AICPA Bea Sanders Award. Dr. Miller is also an author of accounting textbooks published by Pearson.
