PSC Comments on GASB Exposure Draft on Infrastructure Assets

The PSC supports GASB’s goal to improve infrastructure reporting but raised concerns about some proposed disclosures. They said clear explanations are needed and expressed that a 10‑year maintenance schedule would create an unnecessary burden.

I would love to tell you a story about finding a passion for helping business owners or saving people money on their tax returns. The honest truth is I realized being a CPA was going to give me a job forever and help me build the lifestyle I wanted. I enjoy travel, fancy restaurants, and good wine. Being a CPA has given me a path to that. Along the way I have certainly enjoyed helping people (I'm not a monster y'all), but its not the actual WHY that drove my choice.

I was excited to get involved in my local chapter and give back to the community. I actively participated in events and the chapter followed up with lots of opportunities for me to serve and lead. I’m involved with programs for students and young professionals, because I think it is important to connect with the next generation of CPAs.
