TXCPA Houston 2021-2021 Stan and Margaret Voelkel Award for Education Recipient

Thomas I. Jackson received the Stan and Margaret Voelkel Award for Education. In Tom’s eleven years as a trustee for the Cy-Fair Independent School District, he has endowed three scholarships through the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation. A TXCPA Houston member asked Tom for help in obtaining K-level credit for accounting courses in Cy-Fair ISD. With Tom’s encouragement, the district now offers students an extra grade point on their GPA for successful completion of the accounting class. He continues to pay it forward through volunteering as a reader at several district campuses, as a presenter to the New Arrival Centers at local high schools, and to other local programs. Tom is a friend to education, the CPA pipeline, and TXCPA Houston. Congratulations, Tom.
