What did Kelly J. Hunter, CPA, do to merit receiving the award for Significant Contribution by a Member in a Public Practice? An easier question to answer is what he did NOT do. Not only is Kelly a member of the TXCPA Houston Board of Directors and Executive Committee, but he has chaired or served on the Accounting Scholarships, Accounting Scholarships Endowment, Finance, Investments, Membership Development, Information Technology, Nominations, Personnel, Scholarship Extravaganza, Accounting and Auditing, Business and Industry, and CPE Committees.

His dedication to the CPA profession extends even beyond TXCPA Houston. He serves on the TXCPA Board of Directors and has been an active member of numerous AICPA committees.

In other words, Kelly believes in getting things done.

When he’s not doing amazing things for the CPA profession, Kelly is the Director of Audit and Attest Services at Fitts Roberts Kolkhorst where he has been on staff since 1999. Kelly is an active peer reviewer and serves as a team captain on several reviews of CPA firms.
