Don Jones, CPA 
TXCPA Houston 2021-2022 Distinguished Public Service

Don moved to La Grange to open a public practice firm but continued his service in the local community, as he has done for many years with CPAs Helping Schools. He frequently worked with the Chapter’s Community Services volunteers for auction check-out assistance for a Fayette County on-profit. In 2021, Don joined the Board of Directors of the Fayette Community Foundation. This organization works to build stronger, safer, more vibrant communities by providing a bridge that connects caring philanthropists to those in need. He is helping the foundation with its seminar plans to educate local nonprofit organizations on operating principles, budgeting, and accounting strategies for continued growth. Don continues to work with other nonprofits for education and the arts in the rural community
