Course Title: Ethics for Texas CPAs 2024-2025 Members Only (and Ethics for Texas CPAs 2024-2025 Non-Members)

Course Description: This course is designed to educate you in the ethics of the CPA profession as mandated by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA). The course will convey the intent of the board’s Rules of Professional Conduct in a licensee’s performance of professional accounting services. The course will help you apply ethical judgment in interpreting the rules and provide for a clear understanding of the public interest. The course will emphasize the ethical standards of the profession.

Instructor: Kathy Kapka CPA, CGMA, CIA

Kathy Kapka, CPAKapka is experienced in the public accounting, industry, internal audit, and higher education fields. Additionally, she has been an instructor in financial accounting, managerial accounting, ethics, and forensic auditing. Some recent highlights from her career include being the 2016-2017 chairman of the Texas Society of CPAs, former chair of TSCPA Professional Standards Committee, currently a member of the Technical Support for Professional Standards Committee, and TXCPA Ethics Committee.
