Did You Know?

You might not be aware that TXCPA Houston has a CPA-PAC. Our goals are two-fold: monitor and fight any proposed legislation detrimental to the license we have worked so hard to obtain – and maintain. Secondly, to offer our skills to legislatures to better access the impact of proposed legislation. We are strictly bi-partisan and support many local and statewide lawmakers.

We need your help. We rely on donations from our members! Any amount is welcome. This past year, donations ranged from under $100 to $1,000, with $100 being the most popular. You can make a donation and learn more about CPA-PAC at www.tx.cpa. Click on Advocacy and then CPA-PAC.

If you want to get more involved, we are always looking for new committee members! The TXCPA Houston CPA-PAC Steering Committee is responsible for PAC fundraising, administering the key person program in the Houston area, and stimulating interests in Texas political affairs. The committee meets 2-3 times per year.
