Shristi Upreti Sharma, CPA-Fort Worth: Three Pillars of Purpose

Pillar 1: Growth Through Grit

Shristi’s passion for accounting began in middle school. “Something about the logical structure and problem-solving aspect of accounting really resonated with me,” she says.

After earning her Master’s in Accounting from Texas State University and completing an internship with Grant Thornton, she found her calling in public accounting. “The CPA designation opened leadership opportunities for me,” she notes. “It was a turning point that made all the hard work worthwhile.”

Pillar 2: Giving Back to the Profession

Shristi is also dedicated to mentoring students and young professionals. “Volunteering allows me to play a small part in shaping the future of the profession,” she says. “It’s fulfilling to guide others and help them see the many paths accounting can offer.”

For her, mentorship and collaboration are essential to keeping the profession strong, inclusive and forward-looking.

Pillar 3: Grounded in Family

Outside of work, Shristi finds balance with her husband and their son. “He keeps me grounded and brings so much joy to our lives,” she shares. “Family reminds me of what really matters ... They’re the foundation for everything I do.”

A Life That Adds Up

For Shristi, purpose comes from more than professional success — it’s the blend of perseverance, service and commitment that makes her life and career truly add up.

Growth + Service + Family = A Career with Purpose.
