What’s Happening Around Texas - September-October 2026

TXCPA Corpus Christi members came together for the chapter’s end of year member meeting and an insightful luncheon with Representative Denise Villalobos, who shared highlights from the 89th Legislative Session and offered a look ahead. The chapter also hosted its Student and CPA Bowling Mixer at Lucky Strike – a lively night of networking, friendly competition and meaningful connections between students and local CPAs. A big thank you to everyone who joined in these standout events.

TXCPA El Paso Board members gathered for a focused planning session to map out priorities for the year ahead. With 2025–2026 marking a year filled with growth, strong member engagement and meaningful accomplishments, the Board is building on that momentum to shape an even more ambitious 2026-2027. The meeting centered on strategic initiatives, potential community impact and important service opportunities as the chapter’s leadership laid the groundwork for another standout year.

TXCPA San Antonio started bright and early at the Early Bird Yappy Hour, enjoying coffee, breakfast tacos and great conversation with fellow professionals. Chapter leaders also gathered for a Strategic Planning Meeting to map out a strong direction for the year ahead. At the year’s first board meeting, chapter leaders set goals focused on membership, events, student engagement and support for the TXCPA PAC, creating a strong start and plenty of momentum.

What a fantastic afternoon at the TXCPA Southeast Texas Chapter Meeting with Lamar University faculty and students. The room was filled with enthusiasm as the chapter recognized the year’s award recipients and celebrated their accomplishments. The meaningful gathering highlighted the strength of the partnership between the chapter, the university and future professionals. The chapter appreciates everyone who attended to help make the luncheon such a memorable celebration of students, faculty and members.

Great conversations, tasty food and even better company made the TXCPA Victoria Member Appreciation Event at Casa Leon a standout evening. Members reconnected, celebrated the profession and enjoyed the chance to recognize the strong, supportive community that keeps the organization thriving. The chapter is grateful for everyone who joined the event and continues to invest in its mission. With another year of learning, networking and growing ahead, the energy is already building.
