TXCPA, AICPA, and all state CPA societies submitted a letter to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), urging DHS to include accounting on its STEM Designated Degree Program List. The letter cites accounting’s deep integration with technology, data analytics, and innovation. TXCPA leaders have been continuously advocating for this change, including their most recent Hill visits completed in May 2025.
