2026 TXCPA East Texas Scholarships Now Open

TXCPA East Texas is now accepting applications for its 2026 Scholarship Program, funded through the East Texas CPA Educational Fund, Inc. Since 1996, this program has awarded more than $450,000 in scholarships to outstanding accounting students based on academic achievement and financial need.

Scholarship Details

  • Open to full-time junior, senior, or graduate students (sophomores may apply if the award is for the start of their junior year).
  • Applicants must have a minimum overall and accounting GPA of 3.0 and have completed at least 9 hours of accounting coursework as of December 2025.
  • Applicants must either reside in the TXCPA East Texas service area or attend a college within the 20-county region.
  • Must be a declared accounting major pursuing courses that meet CPA exam eligibility.
  • Awards are for one academic year, with payments issued in two installments to the recipient’s educational institution.
  • Application Deadline
  • Completed applications and supporting documents must be received by March 6, 2026. Letters of recommendation may be sent separately to easttexas@tx.cpa but must arrive by the deadline. Incomplete or late applications may not be considered.

Selection Criteria
Winners are selected based on academic record and potential contributions to the accounting profession. The decision of the selection committee is final. Recipients may apply for future awards if eligibility criteria are maintained.
