IRS Clarifies Tax Relief for Taxpayers Impacted by Severe Weather in Texas

IRS updates Hurricane Beryl relief: taxpayers previously granted the Nov. 1, 2024, Severe Storm postponement now have until Feb. 3, 2025, to file and pay.

After some inquiries by the practitioner community, the IRS has recently updated the Hurricane Beryl disaster relief to indicate that affected taxpayers who received the Severe Storm postponement to Nov. 1, 2024, also receive the postponement until Feb. 3, 2025.

Also, the IRS has updated counties in the declaration.
